About the Offering

Sanctuary is monthly oasis of yoga calm you can sink all the way into: a dreamy deep-dive into your innermost aliveness, calm and your own personal sanctuary of wellbeing within.

This monthly offering is an invitation to change gear, slow down, and close your week and month with a full exhale. Sanctuary offers you a supportive, guided environment within which you can drop the rush, drop striving, move the body how it wants to be moved, and find effortless calm for the mind. Sanctuary offers you the simple yet rare permission to just be, and provides a well-held space within which you can steep into trusting that wellbeing comes not through doing more, but doing less.

Through a craftfully woven mix of yoga, breath, meditation and sound practices, you’ll discover it’s completely possible to fall into deep, effortless and very natural states of meditation – moving and still – even if you have never meditated before.

This is not an austere or high-technique approach to deep rest, but rather a leaning back into the body and mind’s inborn instinct to calibrate to calm when a true invitation is offered. The restoration and wellbeing this immersion promotes is profound.

All levels of yoga experience are welcome: this is much more of a ‘work in’ than a work out!

So if you love a yoga class but sometimes leave after an hour wishing you could go deeper into the yumminess, this is for you.

If you love the idea of a yoga retreat, but finding the time (and the money!) feels unrealistic, this is for you.

Each session will include:

  • guided orienting meditation

  • simple but powerful breath techniques to bring a sense of calm you can recreate for yourself independently whenever you need

  • a flowing somatic vinyasa-to-yin yoga practice to move and warm the body, attune to sensation, shift stagnation and settle into peaceful presence. This aspect of the session focuses on cultivating freedom and authenticity of movement from the inside out – presence over pose, expression over exercise, awareness over attainment.

  • yoga nidra practice: to take you into a profound state of rest

  • live soundbath with crystal singing bowls, live vocals and ambient instrumentals to soothe you and leave you feeling restored and renewed.

I can’t wait to welcome you…
to the Sanctuary.

With love,
Camilla

What to Bring

  • Please bring a yoga mat and any yoga props you like to use.

  • Not essential, but it’s recommended to bring a bolster if you have one. There will be a limited number to borrow, but these are on a first come first served basis.

  • Blankets and a cushion to be comfy and warm during the yoga nidra and soundbath (these are reclined, stillness practices). We recommend one blanket to lie on, one to cover you, but please be guided by weather!

  • A bottle of water
